The oil and gas division of Pöyry encompasses three trusted acquisitions under a single banner: IGL Consultants, Electrowatt Ekono and Heymo Ingeneria.

Electrowatt, an energy consultancy, headquartered in Switzerland, was acquired by the Pöyry in 1999.

Heymo, a specialist pipelines consultancy headquartered in Spain, joined the group in 1989, while IGL was acquired in 2006.

IGL was founded in Aberdeen in November 1989 to provide high quality process engineering services in the areas of operational support and front end engineering to UK North Sea operators.

The combined oil and gas division of Pöyry has over 500 experienced multi-discipline engineers and consultants working across the globe, providing value adding services to the energy industries.
