A few facts about Pöyry Oil & Gas

Pöyry believes sustainable energy solutions can only be achieved by developing renewable energy in tandem with sustained strong oil and gas production.

Specific to our local market, long term investment in UKCS oil and gas production is needed to ensure the country's security of supply. Hence we support Oil & Gas UK's position that maximising recovery of hydrocarbons from the UKCS is a prerequisite for a smooth transition to other forms of energy production, such as renewables.

The oil and gas division of Pöyry encompasses three trusted acquisitions under a single banner: Electrowatt Ekono, Heymo Ingenieria and IGL Consultants.

Electrowatt, an energy consultancy, headquartered in Switzerland, was acquired by Pöyry in 1999.

Heymo, a multi-disciplinary engineering consultant with a strong record in onshore pipelines headquartered in Spain, joined the group in 1989.

IGL Consultants, which was acquired in 2006, was founded in Aberdeen in November 1989 to provide high quality process engineering services in the areas of operational support and front end engineering to UK North Sea operators.

The oil and gas division of Pöyry has over 400 experienced multi-discipline engineers and consultants working across the globe, providing value adding services to the energy industries.
