EPCM

Atkins is applying its broad expertise in Engineering, Procurement and Construction Management (EPCM) services from other industrial sectors to its Oil and Gas business.

Atkins targets smaller-scale but technically complex and logistically challenging EPCM projects, for example brownfield modifications and upgrades on operational fixed and floating production platforms in the North Sea.

Such projects require a combination of high quality engineering and a deep appreciation of the existing facility constraints, such as bed space for construction teams, shutdown planning and impacts on the facility’s Safety Case.

Atkins has developed an innovative framework, known as 4ePCM, to execute EPCM projects across its businesses.
